Aims of the course:To acquaint students with basic terminology, recall and knowledge of the structure and function of the human body and its organ systems, the causes, symptoms, development, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of selected infectious and non-infectious diseases. To acquaint students with the role of nutrition, physical activity and stress influence health, the problems of socio-pathological phenomena, positive and negative moments, such as school health affects.
Course contents:
1.Fields, basic concepts and their explanations (allowance 1/1)

2.Man and Environment (allowance 1/1)

4.Nutrition (allowance 1/1)
a.Requirements for human nutrition, energy and biological value of food
b.Energy balance, basal metabolism, essential nutrients
c.Characteristics of childhood, nutrition recommendations

5.Selected pathological conditions of childhood (allowance 1/1)
a.Symptoms of health disorders, their classification
b.Possibilities of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases

6.Major infectious diseases of childhood (allowance 1/1)
a.Epidemiology of infections, epidemiological pattern
b.Representatives of communicable diseases
c.Vaccination, his principle, other preventive measures

7.Major non-infectious diseases of mass occurrence (allowance 1/1)
a.Cardio-vascular disease, treatment options and prevention measures regime
b.Neoplastic diseases, treatment options and prevention measures regime
c.Allergies, diabetes, accidents, treatment options and prevention measures regime

8.Significant risks to acting school pupils (allowance 1/1)
a.Description of the school environment, the school as workplace risk, lifestyle Czech youth, his risky moments
b.Fatigue and overload, lack of exercise and stress, school and extracurricular activities

12.Selected chapters from first aid, emergency conditions, emergency services and their use (allowance 1/1)
a.Cardiopulmocerebral resuscitation, diagnosis arrest of vital functions - the rules and exceptions
b.Building a large hemorrhage, shock, and symptomatic treatment, the recovery position, anti-shock position
c.Thermal and cold injuries, musculoskeletal injuries, poisoning, burns, accidents

Assessment methods:Credit course is completed. Student receives credit for their participation in education and successful completion (60%) written test covering the course syllabus, which contains 10 questions. Circuits to test the public respect the content of textbook chapters binding (the script). In case of disagreement, the student or other barriers, which prevent it from writing to meet the (test), you can try to make orally. Teachers entering students 3 questions, based on the syllabus, give him a time for written preparation.
