Aims of the course:Presentation of the current concept of an integrated information system, approach to his work from the perspective of business management and systems integration with emphasis on the benefits and problems in implementation. Applications of expert systems and neural networks in MIS.
Course contents:
1.Information system and information strategy (allowance 2/0)
2.System integration (allowance 4/2)
 
a.Definition and concept of SI, SI levels, system integrator
b.Integration of corporate applications
c.System development/purchase, demand sheets, tenders
d.New trends in IS, document management, outsourcing, BI, ASP, SOA, cloud

3.Software resources of corporate informatics (allowance 8/4)
 
a.Software used in companies, corporate information systems (ERP)
b.Information systems of public administration and financial institutions
c.New trends in ERP, enterprise systems

4.Support of management applications (allowance 8/4)
 
a.Management Applications EIS, applications for data acquisition, storage and analysis
b.Multidimensional database, BI and enterprise management
c.ECM (Enterprise Content Management), collection, storage, browsing, digital content presentation
d.Other management applications, CRM, SCM, data mining, etc.

5.Efficiency of IS/ICT introduction (allowance 4/2)
6.Software and data protection (allowance 2/2)

Assessment methods:To obtain a credit it is necessary to meet (minimum criterion):
- to develop a team semester project according to the assignment and present this project (60 %)
- At least two of the three given practical tasks (60 %)

The course is finished by a written exam with oral defense. It is necessary to achieve a minimum of 30 points out of a total of 60 possible.

Student of the full-time form can enroll the course during a foreign trip. In this case, the attendance condition does not have to be fulfilled, ie the semester project and the practical tasks are consulted and handed over by means of remote communication.
