Aims of the course:The aim of this course is to develop knowldge and skills in following areas: leadership, team leading, social diversity, diversity measures, methods and techniques of diversity leadership, crosscultural leadership, gender management, work-life balance. The course provides also space for self-experience and training of appropriate skills in working in such teams, case studies and best practices are discussed.
Course contents:
1.Leadership of diverse teams in global environment. (allowance 4/2)
 
a.Theory of economic development of Richard Florida.
b.Paradigms of diversity leadership
c.Styles of leadership, identity of leader, training of diversity and cultural competences of the leader.

2.Social diversity in organisations. (allowance 4/2)
 
a.Terminology, definition, diversity on individual, team, and organisational level.
b.Measures of diversity.
c.Diversity management and leadership.

3.Specifics of crosscultural leadership. (allowance 4/2)
 
a.Migrants working in foreign country: expatriots, braindrain, braingain.
b.leading of organisation and people in context of different cultures: Geert Hofstede (2005, 2007), Fons Trompenaars (1998)
c.project Global Leadership and Organizational Behavior Effectiveness (GLOBE).

4.Team leading with respect to gender of employee. (allowance 4/2)
 
a.Gender management a leadership in Czech and European context
b.life strategies of men and women, situation of women on the labour market, barriers of professional and carrier development, gender stereotypes
c.gender stereotypes, intersectionality, gender quotes, equal opportunities,gender pay gap, mentoring.

5.Team leading with respect to age of employee. (allowance 4/2)
 
a.Age management and leadership. Terminology, theoretical approaches, research in the area of age management,
b.myths of older employees, different generations of employees, perspectives of age management, employment of people over 50, eight pillars of age management and leadership,
c.aplication an implementation of age management and leadership in practice, WAI index.

6.Work-life balance. (allowance 4/2)
 
a.Part-time jobs, baby sitting for employees, flexible working hours, home office, shared jobs, win-win strategies.
b.Audit of equal opportunities.
c.Case studies.
