Aims of the course:The aim is to develop all the language skills in English (academic reading, writing, listening and professional communication). Emphasis is placed on reading and analysis of academic texts, oral expression - Paper presentation before an audience listening and analysis of short authentic texts.
Course contents:
1.Analysis of professional authentic texts of the following areas
Introduction to Ecotrophology
Chocolate production and problems in their production
Making use of raw materials and additives in beer production
Sensoric analysis of food
Fruit fillings and their use in the production of bakery
Additives in meat products and their impact on human health and quality of meat products
Pathogen detection in food
Packaging materials and packaging technology used in the foodMachinery and equipment for wine production technology
Viticulture and winemaking
Basic viticulture techniques

Assessment methods:The subject is finished by credit ZS and LS oral examination of professional language. The condition for obtaining credit is successful completion of a written test and an oral presentation on a chosen topic. Oral examination in the LS contains expert knowledge of circuits and interpretation of topics.
