Aims of the course:Two-term follow-up and expanding subject teaching completed within the required courses at the bachelor's degree. The course aims to teach students practical symptomatology and diagnosis of diseases at the same time modern methods of diagnostics of pathogens and following the current effective ways of protecting horticultural crops. The course is taught in two versions for the field of Horticulture and Viticulture and winemaking field.
Course contents:
1.Diagnosis and protection in viticulture (allowance 5/0)
a.Diagnosis of diseases, the main aspects of terminology, methods
c.Basic principles and key aspects of plant protection

2.Methods of diagnosis of disease (allowance 5/0)
a.Molecular - genetic methods for detection of viruses and phytoplasmas
b.Serological methods for detection of viruses

3.Diseases and Pests of grapevine (allowance 5/0)
a.Fungal diseases of the vine
b.Viruses and phytoplasmas vine
c.Other diseases

4.Laboratorní postupy detekce patogenů - cvičení (allowance 0/6)
a.Detekce virů metodou ELISA
b.Detekce virů metodou RT-PCR
c.Detekce fytoplazem metodou nested PCR
