Aims of the course:To familiarize students with a process when verifying loft conversion placing suitability and a garret repair for housing purposes under the concrete terms and with appropriate travaux préparatoires. To elucidate individual working procedures, appropriate regulations and standards, to inform about suitable furniture of rooms with sloping walls.
Course contents:
1.The suitability of loft conversion placing and a garret repair for housing purposes under the concrete terms. (allowance 1/0)
2.A technoeconomic questions about constraction of loft conversion placing, process layout of the rooms, engineering layout, normativ and law environment, ecological commitment. (allowance 2/6)
3.Process layout when constructing loft conversion placing in different types of a rafter. Load-bearing structures of traditional purlin rafters and present-day rafters. The choice of the roofing. (allowance 2/3)
4.The effect of the roof form and the frames on the layouts of rooms and room ordering, the mending of the rafter damaged components, the garret mudding up, tin and roofing work. (allowance 1/3)
5.The stairs requirements: the setting, the project and the choose of a suitable type including the material, handrailing, global illuminance. (allowance 1/2)
6.Ceiling construction under and above the garret rooms, balconies and roof terraces, quillons, water-proofing, thermal and acoustic insulation, the garret room floors, surface modifications, the apertures infilling etc. (allowance 1/2)
7.The sloping roof covering and their structure above the heating spaces. (allowance 1/0)
8.The technical instalment: healthtechnic, heating and ventilation, electro cross-connecting frames, lighting, conductors, etc. (allowance 1/0)
9.Room furniture in the garret and the woodworking accessories, additionally built garrets, the attics in the new buildings and the vacation properties. (allowance 1/3)
10.The examples of flats and rooms in a garret. (allowance 0/3)
11.The excursion to the building with the realized garret. (allowance 1/2)
12.Presentation of semester works (allowance 1/2)

-Adoption fundamentals architectural and constructive drafting terrestrial construction.
-Basic knowledge of the reconstruction of buildings and wooden constructions
-Familiarity with enactments and standards for execution of a building
-Student will be able to make a proposal solution of contructions of roofing, windows, doors and gateways, windows in roofs of building.
-The ability to select appropriate materials for the proposed construction
