Aims of the course:The aim of the subject is to familiarize students with the problems of fire safety of buildings, understand the basic requirements for fire safety of buildings, the design and assessment procedure of FSB with requirements to provide fire intervention. This is based on the knowledge of urban, layout, material and structural design of buildings, especially houses and flats.
Course contents:
1.Legal and normative bases of FSB, history of legislation, standards, code of FSB. (allowance 2/0)
2.Basic concepts and terminology. Theory of fire, the behavior of most of materials in the fire. Requirements and the method of FSB, fire safety design of the building. Procedures for developing fire safety solutions for manufacturing and non-manufacturing objects, Technical Report of fire protection. (allowance 2/0)
3.Procedure of design and assessment of FSB. Fire load. (allowance 0/0)
4.Fire zones and their dimensions, areas without fire risk, fire and economic risk. The degree of fire safety. (allowance 2/0)
5.Fire separation walls, fire belts. Fire protection materials. (allowance 4/0)
6.Calculation of fire resistance of building structures. Proof of fire technical properties of building materials in construction. Basic design procedures for determining fire resistance of timber structures. (allowance 2/0)
7.Escape routes - the species and their use, design and equipment. Casting an object by persons. Secondary escape options. (allowance 2/0)
8.Distances - definition of fire danger zones and determination of object distances. Radiation, fire open areas, the impact of burning parts. (allowance 2/0)
9.Ensuring the extinguishing, fire water supply, technical and technological equipment. (allowance 4/0)
10.Fire safety equipment - and the types of activities provided safety equipment, basic rules for their design, installation and operation. (allowance 2/0)
11.11. FSB requirements for selected types of buildings - buildings for housing and accommodation, changes in buildings, warehouses, garages, agricultural buildings, etc. (allowance 2/0)
