Aims of the course:The objective is to familiarize students with industry related topics mentioned in the contents and explain to students the initial theoretical points, including the development of the abilities of managers for the practical application of achieved knowledge.
Course contents:
1.Introduction to economy - sense, development, methods. Applications too into business practice. (allowance 2/2)
2.Business environment - Czech Republic and the EU Strategy, competition, intellectual property, protection the environment , the risks. (allowance 2/2)
3.Demand, supply, and market price (allowance 2/2)
4.Market factors of production - the labor market, capital market, with the market natural resources. externalities, public goods (allowance 2/2)
5.Management Company - property and capital structure company (allowance 2/2)
6.Business efficiency, profitability (allowance 2/2)
7.Financing firm, financial management (allowance 2/2)
8.Corporate management, business plan (allowance 2/2)
9.Investment activities (allowance 2/2)
10.Accounting, taxes, insurance premiums (allowance 2/2)
11.Management (allowance 2/2)
12.Marketing, innovation (allowance 2/2)
13.Human resource management (allowance 2/2)

Work placement:There is no compulsory work placement in the course unit.

Assessment methods:Conditions for obtaining credit: 75 % participation in the seminars, submission of a seminar work, writing test. Seminar work in the range of 10 to 15 pages, enter on the 2th week of the semester. Written test -- 30 minutes, the test contains 30 questions rated 1 point (maximum 30 points). The test will be written in the 13th week of the semester. To meet the credit must be obtained 19 points. Credit is compulsory for final exam participation. Final examination is oral, lasts 45 minutes (including 15 minutes preparation) and includes 2 questions (selected from a total of 30 questions). Minimum requirements for passing the exam are 50 %
