Aims of the course:The objective is to familiarize students with the law system and law sources in the Czech Republic, with the principles of creating legal standards and publishing them (Collection of laws and Collection of international agreements) and give them a basic summary of law-public as well as private related to forest management.
Course contents:
1.Introduction -- normative systems, normative legal system, legal status, source of law, justice system (allowance 2/0)
2.Principles of European law -- the development of European integration, European Communities, European Union and its institutions, primary and secondary European law and its sources (allowance 2/0)
3.Principles of constitutional law -- the legislative branch and the judicial power in the Czech Republic (allowance 2/0)
4.Principles of constitutional law -- the executive in the Czech Republic, the Government, ministries and other central government, state rights and interest by local governments, counties, municipalities and their status (allowance 2/0)
5.Principles of administrative law, administrative rules, basic principles of administrative procedure, administrative proceedings, a special form of administrative proceedings (by the water management, construction management, etc.) (allowance 2/0)
6.Principles of administrative law -- management of real estate register, land planning and building regulations (allowance 2/0)
7.Principles of environmental law -- Environment Act, assessment of environmental impacts, the State Environmental Fund, the provision of environmental information (allowance 2/0)
8.Protection of agricultural land, water conservation and water management (allowance 2/0)
9.Nature and landscape protection (allowance 2/0)
10.Forest Act (allowance 2/0)
11.Implementing regulations for the forestry law (allowance 2/0)
12.Additional provisions of forest law -- the law of the CEIL on trade in forest reproductive material (allowance 2/0)
13.European Forest Law, the Rural Development Programme and the OP Environment (allowance 2/0)
14.International forest law, international conventions on environmental protection (allowance 2/0)

Requirements for passing the subject:

- submission of a seminar work, minimum 5 pages
- passing of the final test, minimum 75% points
- oral exam (3 questions, 15 minutes preparation , 30 minutes examination)
