Aims of the course:Knowlege of basic statistical methods, measuring of diameter and height and volume estimation of trees and logs
Course contents:
1.Statistics - basic terms. Measuring and its accuracy (allowance 2/0)
2.Statistical characteristics (allowance 8/10)
a.Exploratoty data analysis
b.Point and interval estimates of population parameters

3.Statistical tests (allowance 6/6)
a.Importance and basic concepts of statistical testing
b.Tests for one and twoo samples

4.Correlation and regression (allowance 6/6)
a.Statistical dependence
c.Linear and non linear regression models

5.Dendrometry (allowance 6/6)
a.Measuring of diameters and heights - calipers and hypsometers
b.Volume entimation of individual tree
c.Volume tables

exam - written evaluated by points (scope of knowlege from lectures and labs and other selected patrs from recommended literature, at least 12 p. from 30 possible, 5 questions graded by 0-6 points))
