Aims of the course:To educate students in methods of measurement and evaluation of the meteorological and agrometeorological observations and also in methods of an agroclimatological evaluation of the environment including the agrometeorological zonation. Students will be taught to apply acquired knowledge of the subject into growing technologies and will learn basic principles of utilization of meteorological knowledge in agriculture.
Course contents:
1.Meteorological observations and measurements (allowance 2/1)
a.Past and present of meteorology, climatology and bioclimatology
b.Czech Hydrometeorological Institute, clasification of meteorological stations
c.clasification of meteorological satellite observations, the possibility of using remote sensing in agriculture radar, upper air measurements

2.Atmosphere (allowance 2/1)
a.Stratification and atmospheric composition
b.Ozon layer and UV-B radiation

3.Radiation and energy balance on crop canopy level (allowance 4/2)
a.radiation and its distribution, biological significance
b.radiation balance balance
d.climate change impacts on plants growth and development study of climate change impacts on winter wheat ans spring barley

4.Temperature and plants (allowance 4/2)
a.Temperature - basic features
b.Temperature gradients
c.Temperature sums
d.Temperature and plants growth and development, temperature limits

5.Water cycle (allowance 4/2)

Assessment methods:oral exam

Students will receive the final credit after seminars passing and submission of protocols, which is a condition for passing exams. This is oral, in the form of 30-40 minute interview. Student will receive 6 questions and for successful exam is required 100% response in three of them and demonstrate minimal knowledge (at least 25%) of the remaining three.
