Aims of the course:Knowledge: theoretical knowledge on the origin of disorders, injuries and diseases on the development and spread of pathogens and pests skills: the ability to determine causes of defects and damage, significant agents of the diseases and pests of vegetables and fruit trees, and propose options for protection of plants

To obtain the ability to detect of pathogens and insect pests, and to recommend appropriate means of protection against them.

-Ability of using integrated pest and disease management methods
-Ability to determine the cause or causative agent of diseases of the main species of cultivated plants, to isolate and identify the pathogen or pest
-Knowledge of disorders, injuries, pests and pathogens of the main species cultivated garden plants
-Skills of finding a solution for a particular situation and determination of a suitable way to protect garden plants
-Skills of performing of protective actions according to applicable legislation

Assessment methods:In order to obtain compensation, participation in compulsory exercises. Credit in the form of microscopic slides of cognitive test of pathogens (75%) and pests (75%). Exam in the form of the test consists of entomological (50%) and the phytopathological part (50%). To obtain the credits is required at least 75% of correct answers in each test.
