Aims of the course:The aim is to examine the student's ability to orient themselves in a professional text to read and interpret literature and explain professional terminology.
Sub-goals:
Ability to express opinions about the issues.
Ability to summarize professional text
Oral/ written summarizing skills
Ability to listening comprehension of professional texts
Reading comprehension
Developing academic writing skills

Assessment methods:Compulsory 80% participation. Written and oral exam
The course is completed with a written test and oral exam. It assesses the participation in exercises.
Written test: 60-minute written test (minimum score of 65%) in a given specialized topics. Oral exam:The student should achieve the ability to work with specialized texts his field of study - reading comprehension, text translation, reproduction / interpretation of the text. Furthermore, the student should acquire the skills of oral communication and writing abilities in their field of study.
