Aims of the course:To introduce students to the principles of formation of diploma thesis as a scientific message -- from the point of view of choosing a topic as well as from the content and form of the thesis. To strengthen the abilities of students in working with information sources as far as exploitation, author legislative and ethics are concerned. To summarize basic methodical principles of scientific work, which are familiar to all students from their technical subjects.
Course contents:
1.Diploma thesis and its qualitative differences in comparison with bachelor thesis (allowance 1/0)
2.Scientific notification - content and form (allowance 3/0)
3.Methods of scientific work - research questions and hypothesis and their verification (allowance 3/0)
4.Information sources, their exploitation and quotation (allowance 3/0)
5.Authorial law and ethics of scientific work (allowance 1/0)
6.Principles of technical text writing and its defence (style, typgraphical principles, preparation of the presentation for thesis defence) (allowance 3/0)
