Aims of the course:Rehabilitation of degradated and devastated landscape segments and elements of biological and technical processes. Revitalization of the hydric environment of countryside
Course contents:
1.Reclamation (allowance 14/14)
 
a.Reclamation and restoration, concepts, reports. Breakdown of reclamation. Technical rehabilitation, structure, technology, procedures. The objects according to the type of reclamation anthropogenic deterioration of the landscape. Objects reclamation after mining of raw materials and specific destructive land use.
b.Objects reclamation after mining of raw materials and specific destructive land use. Reclamation of dumps, waste dumps, dumps, dumping of solid waste, energy and technological tailings sludge.
Solution of controlled and uncontrolled municipal landfills and industrial waste.
c.Biological subsequent rehabilitation. Classification, types, forms. Establishment of vegetation rehabilitation and secondary direct methods. Selecting tree species for restoration, classification and determination by the effects of and reactions to the environment. Soil preparation, afforestation, structure, methods of primary care. Educational biotech processes, preparation and target the jury. Conversion technology. Protection of vegetation rehabilitation, functional differential use.
d.Legislation and government of reclamation.

2.Revitalization (allowance 14/14)
 
a.Anthropogenic landscape changes and their impact on the retention capacity of the landscape. Restoring the natural character of the aquatic environment. Important landscape element.
b.Application of the revitalization of flood protection. Evaluation of effectiveness of restoration actions flow. Fortification trough its suitability in terms of revitalization.
c.Protection and restoration of water permeability of migration flows. Pools and wetlands.
d.Interactions of the watercourse and its environs. The objectives of the revitalization of water courses. Fundamental principles of restoration of water flows.
e.Revitalizing small water tank. Vegetation treatment for revitalization. Operation and maintenance of rehabilitation works

Assessment methods:The subject will be concluded by a written and oral exam. To register for the exam is necessary for credit. Its assumption is elaboration of seminar paper in the form of a study on the topic: Evaluation of restoration / reclamation measures in the landscape.
