Profile of the programme:Graduates are equipped with a comprehensive knowledge of the sum of technical and technological, economic, legal knowledge and economic policies in response to the growing demand for specialists in management and line functions to top management positions in modern agribusiness. By following Bachelor degree studies, the masters will extend knowledge and skills deeper in theoretical and methodological approach to core businesses principals in a broader international context, with emphasis on language skills, knowledge and skills of further bio-technical and managerial-economic disciplines, what creates abilities for decision-making in complex engineering concepts and contexts of professional work.
Key learning outcomes: Ability of monitoring of markets concerned with agricultural production and services in relation to links within regional, national and international levels.
Ability of multispecialty approach in decision making processes in horizontal and vertical structure of agribusiness enterprises at senior management level.
Regional policy and environmental issues/measures skills and their application to business strategies and project management, respectively.
Valid information sources identification and selection in order of strategy making in agribusiness.
Legislation knowledge and its application ability into entrepreneurial and manager activities in the scope of agribusiness conditions.
Ability to identify effectively a problem, to analyze a problem; further, to compose its clear description enabling then an independent solution finding by using a multi-disciplinary approach; and finally to state a selected way of solution.
Occupational profile:The graduates are able to find their jobs in many companies dealing with agricultural primary production, processing and distribution of products, services at all levels of commodity vertical lines both in national and international scope. They are also able to work in managerial positions in national and multinational institutions and in state administration bodies. They can also be managers of small and middle-scale companies and they can also become self-employed entrepreneurs. Moreover, they have predispositions to lead specialised units of management in manufacturing companies and in vertically integrated economical units. They can also work in the sphere of consultancy, in project management, in research organizations, interest associations and also in education.
Graduation requirements:Min. 120 ECTS, state final exam, defence of the master's thesis.
Access to further studies:Successful graduates may proceed to doctoral study programme.
