Profile of the programme:The objective of the studies is to provide students with basic theoretical knowledge of and practical skills in informatics, algorithm design, database systems, implementation of computer networks and operating systems and information technology and automation of processes in order for the students to be able to work independently in the field. Graduates have also sufficient knowledge of applied information technologies, process automation, artificial intelligence, technical and program solutions of information and communication technology applications and automation and regulation technology. Orientation in related domains focused on agriculture or waste management enables understanding the implementation of information technologies in a broader sense and also extends the possibilities of further employment. After finishing required study plan the graduates are qualified for immediate employment in practice and prepared for continuing their studies in graduate programs or in related programs.
Key learning outcomes: to develop students´ theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of informatics and process automation in to work independently
to obtain skills necessary for profession performance in the field of bulk data processing, qualified administration of information systems
to familiarize students with the field of applied informatics, process automation, technical and software solution aspects of information technologies
to promote managerial methods and techniques with the intention to give students modern and perspective tools for decision making support
to obtain professional skills and knowledge that will enable to work effectively in the field of information technology and information systems
to obtain ability to apply the methods through which the automated processes in information technology are studied, monitored and controlled
Occupational profile:Graduates become experts in operational and middle level of work with IS/IT in the area of biological, technical and environmental applications and in creative work with automated operational process systems. They can be also employed as supervising programmers, analysts and administrators of IT, managers of small and middle-sized teams oriented on development of IT and automated management systems.
Graduation requirements:Min. 180 ECTS, state final exam, defence of the bachelor thesis.
Access to further studies:Successful graduates may proceed to master's study programme.
