Aims of the course:Subject is oriented towards problem solving using computers. Algorithmization is presented as a certain way of thinking used for scienfitic and technical and economical calculations and collective data processing.
Course contents:
1.Algorithmization (allowance 21/21)
 
a.Algorithm, its representation and methodology of algorithm design
b.Means of algorithm notation, structured algorithmic language
c.Basic tasks of algorithmization
d.Data structures of algorithmic language
e.Algorithmization of mass data processing

Learning outcomes and competences:
Generic competences:
 
-ability to analyse and synthesize
-ability to communicate with professionals in different field of study

-ability to solve problems
-general knowledge
-skilled at utilizing and processing information

Specific competences:
 
-Ability to design of algorithms for mass data processing and economical calculations

-Knowledge of basic structures (flow and data) for algorithm development
-Practical application of methodology

Assessment methods:Necessary condition for admission to final exam is to prove the ability to work with Excel.
There are three test during the semester. Those students who successfully pass these tests, have an advantage at the final exam.
Final exam is written and oral.
