Aims of the course:The main subject goal is to acquire and deepen knowledge of all general language competences (reading, writing, listening, speaking) on B1 level.
Course contents:
1.Lesson 1 (allowance 0/2)
a.revision of A1 grammar, gustar type verbs, verbs with reflexive pronouns; everyday activities, daily schedule, irregular verbs in the present tense

2.Lesson 1 (allowance 0/2)
a.past simple, regular and irregular verbs, everyday activities, Spanish customs, revision of lesson 1

3.Lesson 2 (allowance 0/2)
a.interrogative pronouns and adverbs, past simple, biographies

4.Lesson 2 (allowance 0/2)
a.numerals, expressing date, vocabulary related to geography, revision of lesson 2

5.Lesson 3 (allowance 0/2)
a.verbs ser and estar, their use, present perfect tense, irregular verbs, family

6.Lesson 3 (allowance 0/2)
a.usage of present perfect and past simple tense, hay que, (no) se puede phrases, stress, personality and mood describing adjectives, revision of lesson 3

7.Lesson 4 (allowance 0/2)
a.revision of structures "se puede", etc., future simple, word stress

8.Lesson 4 (allowance 0/2)
a.present perfect and past simple, conditional, housing, cinema

a.personal pronouns - direct and indirect object, housing, revision of lesson 4

a.imperfect, means of transport, travelling, time/place idioms and phrases

a.imperfect, comparative and superlative adjectives, absolute superlative, prepositions of place, giving directions, revision of lesson 5

Assessment methods:In the continuous assessment students have to gain a minimum of 70 points out of a maximum of 100 points to be awarded credit. In the 5th and 10th week of the term students take a test that has 20 questions. Each test makes a maximum of 20% of the total marks. Students can gain a maximum of 20 points per each test. In the 14th week of the term students take a final credit test consisting of 60 questions in an electronic form. The test makes a maximum of 60% of the total marks. Students can gain up to 60 points at most. Attendance at the seminars is mandatory.
