Aims of the course:To acquaint students with the general principles of law of the Czech Republic, to form the basic skills in terms of the classification of legal relations in the legal sector and source of positive legislation
Course contents:
1.Basics of theory of law- the legal, social and normative systems; Sources of law, legal standards, implementation of law, legal relations (allowance 2/2)
2.Constitutional foundations of the state - Sources of constitutional law; basics of the political system of the CR; system of the supreme state authorities, human rights and basic freedoms (allowance 2/1)
3.Principles of the Civil Law -Basic principles of civil law; Fundamental property rights legislation; obligations; liabilities, damages (liability obligations) (allowance 4/2)
4.Legal regulation and labor law, and social security-concept , sources of labor law, employment relationship; labor conract, liability of employees, collective labor law (allowance 4/2)
5.Administrative law - Public administration, administrative law Sources, Public administration and local government, territorial administration, control of public administration, administrative management (allowance 2/1)
6.legal relations to land - Evidence of legal relations to real estate; Specialized categorization of land; Spatial planning, land management and planning, building control office before; Land Offices and improvements to land peotection (allowance 2/2)
7.Principles of criminal liability - Formal characteristics of criminal liability, penalties and protective measures; special part of criminal law, basics of criminal procedure (allowance 2/2)
8.Public and business basics - Basics Trades; basics of competition law, consumer protection, Fundamentals of bankruptcy law, protection of industrial property rights and rights on the label; Trade name and trade register (allowance 4/2)
9.Company Law and Contract law - Companies and cooperatives, trade obligations; Terms types of business (allowance 4/2)
10.Alternative Dispute Resolution, Arbitration in CR; international trade disputes decision (allowance 2/0)

Assessment methods:Exam consists of written test for 40 minutes(minimul 58 % success rate in answering of 20 questions required), questions structurally organized to represent different topics of positive law, each assessed by 1 - 2 points
