Profile of the programme:Profile of Landscape Architecture program aims towards planning and design of an urban and a rural landscape. Graduates achieve complex knowledge of historical and theoretical foundations of a garden design and a landscape architecture along with environmental awareness.
The graduates are capable of creative manipulation with terrene, water, vegetation, buildings and also with art, technical and natural features in a process of making an environment.


Study program Landscape Architecture was awarded the academic year 2013/2014 international accreditation IFLA
(International Federation of Landscape Architects).
 
Key learning outcomes: Knowledge of the historical and theoretical roots of garden art and landscape architecture.
Deep knowledge of the biological basis of the visual grouping of plants.
Competence in creative design and manipulation of the terrain, water, vegetation and buildings.
Competence in the process of creating space and environment.
The ability to create, implement and maintain parks and gardens.
Ability to care for monuments of garden art and landscape architecture.
 
Occupational profile:After a completion of required length of work practice and an examination, the graduates are prepared to become authorized architects (under Act 360/92 Sb).
The graduates can also develop their professional skills in various institutions and government authorities. Additional education also enables them to work as research workers and lecturers.
Graduation requirements:Min. 180 ECTS, state final exam, defence of the bachelor thesis.
Access to further studies:Successful graduates may proceed to master's study programme.

To obtain 60 ECTS credits per academic year, students should choose courses from any other study programme taught at the university.
