Aims of the course:In this course, students will be informed about individual technologies of forwarding, loading, unloading and warehousing. Students also will learn about organisation of domestic and international haulage and about organisation and operation of combined truck transportation.
Course contents:
1.Theoretical principles of transport technologies. Transportation systems. choice of methods and kinds of transportation. Technical fundamentals of hauling. Technological and operational requirements concerning transportation means (allowance 1/1)
2.Transportation and hauling activities. Criteria concerning hauling. Capacity of transportation means in the branch forwarding and road transportation (allowance 2/2)
3.Basic Czech legal norms concerning transportation. Act n° 111 Sb., on road transport and related public notices (allowance 2/2)
4.Granting certificates and approvals to perform road transport (allowance 2/2)
5.Basic methods of solution of transportation problems in the field of hauling and possibilities of their optimisation (allowance 5/5)
6.Active and passive logistic elements. Means and facilities enabling to designate, follow up and identify passive and active elements (allowance 2/2)
7.International hauling and road transportation. Transport of dangerous truckloads (allowance 2/2)
8.European agreement on drivers' hours - AETR. (allowance 4/4)
9.Relationship of hauling to other kinds of transportation. Combined transportation (allowance 2/2)
10.Transportation and environment. Ecological aspects of individual kinds of truck transportation (allowance 2/2)

Assessment methods:Compulsory attendance at exercises. Hand over and defense of protocols assigned during the semester. Final written and oral examination, a total duration 50 min.Written examination, calculation of given examples. To meet the requirements min. 70 points out of 100. Overall rating, the sum of points from written and oral at least 65%.
