Specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning:There are no specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning. The recognition procedure of the university is guided by the Act No. 111/1998 on Higher Education Institutions and the university "Study and Examination Rules". Further information available here.
Profile of the programme:Graduates will have developed professional knowledge in finance. Specifically in financial accounting, tax principles, tax records, company financing, financial market operations, financial market institutions and instruments and using financial instruments in business practice. Graduates will be able to apply relevant theory and methodology in practice. Graduates will be able to work for companies in their finance departments independently or as part of a team, they will be able to deal with tax issues, solve financial relationships with banks and other financial institutions. Finance graduates will have theoretical prerequisites to continue in their postgraduate study reading Finance at their "mother" faculty or some other faculty offering postgraduate courses in Finance at other universities.
 
Key learning outcomes: to develop students´ knowledge of economical,managerial and social sciences in order that they may analyse and understand economic and social behavior
to make students to know the principles and evolution of economic processes and their influence on society
to promote methods by which economic and managerial processes are investigated, monitored and controlled
to promote quantitative techniques to give students modern and perspective tools for decision making support
to prepare financial plans to ensure all activities using a wide spectrum of resources, including the current funding possibilities available both in the Czech Republic and the European Union
 
Occupational profile:Graduate is prepared for productive entities, non-profit and service organization or state authority unit to support and guarantee the financial related task including funding, accounting and taxation. They could work as specialists, team member, assistants to top managers or manager of lower levels of managerial structure. They can ensure the optimal financing, funding, optimalization of taxes, book-keeping using the modern approaches and technologies.
Graduation requirements:Min. 180 ECTS, state final exam, defence of the bachelor thesis.
Access to further studies:Successful graduates may proceed to master's study programme.
