Specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning:There are no specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning. The recognition procedure of the university is guided by the Act No. 111/1998 on Higher Education Institutions and the university "Study and Examination Rules". Further information available here.
Profile of the programme:The aim of study is to prepare professionals to manage natural resources in countries of tropical and subtropical zones, with an emphasis on practical management of biological, technical and socio-economic specificities of the region. Graduates will be employed in preparing and implementing projects in the fields of forestry, nature conservation and landscape management (partly in agricultural production), in services, manufacturing, education at all levels, but also in the control range of education activities, etc. They will also apply in Czech forest-agricultural environment.

Occupational profile:Graduates of the program will by ready for professional and project management in subtropical countries and tropical zones in the fields of forestry, wood sector and primary agriculture production, services, manufacturing, education in all levels, as well as monitoring activities, etc. Graduates can pursue that activities such as international experts in the framework of Food and Agriculture Organisation UN, as well as staff in sales departement at Czech Embassies.
In addition, graduates apply for companies in the CZ dealing with foreign trade of agricultural commodities, the timber industry and evaluation of tropical and subtropical agricultural products. The scope of education enable them to exercise in the Czech forest-agricultural environment.
Graduation requirements:Min. 180 ECTS, state final exam, defence of the bachelor thesis.
Access to further studies:Successful graduates may proceed to master's study programme.
