Aims of the course:The main subject goal is to acquire and deepen knowledge of all general language competences (reading, writing, speaking and listening)on a level approaching B2.

1.revision, indefinite pronouns, shopping, food (allowance 0/2)
2."se" another form of the passive, recipes, food, in the restaurant, revision of lesson 6 (allowance 0/2)
3.imperatives and prohibitions, on a holiday, travelling, adjectives (allowance 0/2)
4.use of verbs - ser and estar, adjectives describing mood, subjunctive of regular verbs (allowance 0/2)
5.subjunctive of irregular verbs and verbs with a change of the root vowel, use of subjunctive, optative sentences, revision of lesson 7 (allowance 0/2)
6.estaba + gerund and its use contrasted with past simple, work and work relationships (allowance 0/2)
7.past perfect, sequence of tenses, questions in indirect speech, press, small ads, revision of lesson 8 (allowance 0/2)
8.llevar + gerund, leisure activities (allowance 0/2)

Assessment methods:In the continuous assessment students have to gain a minimum of 70 points out of a maximum of 100 points to be awarded credit and be admitted to the oral exam. In the 5th and 10th week of the term students take a test that has 20 questions. Each test makes a maximum of 20% of the total marks. Students can gain a maximum of 20 points per each test. In the 14th week of the term students take a final credit test consisting of 60 questions in an electronic form. The test makes a maximum of 60% of the total marks. Students can gain up to 60 points at most. After the credit award students are admitted to the oral exam testing their speaking skills (fluency, accuracy, range of vocabulary, pronunciation). Students have a dictionary at their disposal during the preparation time. The duration of the preparation is 15 minutes. The exam lasts 15 minutes. The minimum to pass is 60% out of the maximum 100%. Students are assigned a final grade A-F.Attendance at the seminars is mandatory.
