Aims of the course:The course is aimed to provide basic knowledge of legal regulation for commercial activities (business companies, contracts, public procurement, competition and unfair competition, corporate social responsibility).
Subsequently it provides understanding of fundamental provisions of
the Civil Code as the basic legal text for private law concerning business activities and its implementation in practice.
Course contents:
1.Private law in the business environment (allowance 21/7)
a.Company law (incorporation of companies, types)
b.Contracts in business (types of contracts)

2.Public law in the business environment (allowance 7/7)
a.Competition law
b.Unfair competition
c.Public procurement
d.Corporate social responsibility

Learning outcomes and competences:
Generic competences:
-ability to analyse and synthesize
-ability to solve problems
-ability to work in interdisciplinary team
-general knowledge

Specific competences:
-forming of legal solution of problems by utilisation of the legal norms in force
-orientation in legal environmrnt, especially for development of trading skills
-preparation and conduction of negotiations in English language
-to develop the application of Czech norms practical problem solving

Assessment methods:Credit: minimal participation of defined number of seminars (50 %), knowledge tests during the period (25 % and 25%) or practical research (contract, case).
Exam: The module itself is closed by successful passing of test obtaining at least 58 % of the max. available points.
