Specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning:There are no specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning. Profile of the programme:Students will develop knowledge of the bio-technical areas of production, processing and distribution of agricultural products as well as deepen their economic, managerial and communication skills in the concept of global trends of the new economics and requirements of increasing competition in terms of modern agrobusiness. At the same time they will increase their undestanding of the possibilities of diversification of activities within agricultural companies with a focus on alternative uses of land and other production factors to fulfill environmental and social functions of agriculture in rural regions.
 
Key learning outcomes: Ability of monitoring of markets concerned with agricultural production and services in relation to links within regional and national levels.
Ability of linking between the technological knowledge and economical knowledge (economical relations and limitations) in agribusiness aiming in effectiveness of decision making.
Ability of multispecialty approach in decision making processes in horizontal and vertical structure of agribusiness enterprises at junior management level.
Regional policy and environmental issues/measures skills and their application to business strategies and project management, respectively.
Valid information sources identification and selection in order of strategy making in agribusiness.
Legislation knowledge and its application ability into entrepreneurial and manager activities in the scope of agribusiness conditions.
 
Occupational profile:The graduates are ready to find jobs in modern agribusiness, in line managerial positions in agricultural companies and plants, in food industry companies, in services and trade, in positions of operational economists and specialists for production and trade. They are also able to find jobs in professional advising, in state and public administration, in interest groups and other organisations connected with the agribusiness activities not only in the Czech Republic but also in professional bodies of the European Community. The graduates' professional profile is also a useful background for individual entrepreneurial activity in small and family businesses.
Graduation requirements:Min. 180 ECTS, state final exam, defence of the bachelor thesis.
Access to further studies:Successful graduates may proceed to master's study programme.
