Specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning:There are no specific arrangements for recognition of prior learning. Profile of the programme:The study consists of a set of technical, scientific, agricultural, environmental, economic and social disciplines related to the protection and creation of the agricultural landscape and its ecological stability. Graduates of this BA program focus their interest on ecological optimization of the agricultural landscape. They should be able to realize projects in landscape planning, reclamation, soil erosion protection, revitalization of water systems, etc. with regard to protection of nature, landscape and environment as a whole.
 
Key learning outcomes: Orientation, recognition and analysis of common management methods and management schemes.
Ability to solve problems of cropping in different agro-ecological conditions.
Ability to comprehensively assess the landscape management in terms of its influence on the biodiversity.
Ability to evaluate the ecological importance of individual species in natural and production ecosystems.
Ability to distinguish animal species important in agriculture in consulting.
Ability to understand the basic legislative norms regulating the process of land consolidation adjustment and their implementation.
Ability to elaborate and evaluate hydrological data.
Ability to solve channel improvement.
Conceptually solve and design the equipment for waste treatment.
 
Occupational profile:The agroecologists find jobs in the following institutions: land registry offices, geodetic and cadastre inspectorates, agricultural companies and associations, local authorities, hygiene stations, companies dealing with waste disposal, projection and building companies etc. They are also able to find jobs in entrepreneurial sphere in the area of ecological agriculture, agritourism and ecological assessment.
Graduation requirements:Min. 180 ECTS, state final exam, defence of the bachelor thesis.
Access to further studies:Successful graduates may proceed to master's study programme.
