Profile of the programme:Bachelor´s degree graduates are basically familiarized with the general theoretical (botany, chemistry, geology, soil science, microbiology, plant physiology, biochemistry) and chosen profile disciplines of Horticulture production ( basics of floriculture, fruit growing, vegetable growing and viticulture).
 
Key learning outcomes: Knowledge of botany, chemistry and geology.
Knowledge from the selected profile disciplines - fruit growing, market gardening and horticulture.
The ability to apply anatomy and morphology of plants in further study and practice.
Knowledge of basic types of metabolism and reproduction of microbes.
The ability to use adequate production systems in gardening.
Utilization of plant variability in time and space.
 
Occupational profile:Theoretical and in some way practical skills enabling graduates to succeed in the lover management of horticulture production ( floriculture, fruit growing, vegetable growing and viticulture, plant breeding,...), government and commercial organizations.
Graduation requirements:Min. 180 ECTS, state final exam, defence of the bachelor thesis.
Access to further studies:Successful graduates may proceed to master's study programme.
