Profile of the programme:This programme offers its graduates lower university education in establishment and further maintenance of garden and horticultural entities. Programme is structured to reflect needs of the commercial sector and both local or national wide self-government bodies. Study programme also includes forest management issues with the accent on non-production functions of forests. Special attention is given to the specific field knowledge – study of decorative plants assortment, construction materials and structures, filed utilization of information technologies and quality assessment methods for assessing vegetative elements and landscape structures.
 
Key learning outcomes: Hazard tree assessment
Knowledge of levels of project documentation including budgeting in the field of landscape architecture
Knowledge of state administration function
Knowledge of the ecological foundations and theoretical and practical techniques of silviculture and reforestation
Knowledge of technologies of vegetation elements establishment and maintenance including mechanization
Knowledge of vegetative materials (plants)
Knowledge of project documentation and ability of construction realization according to the project documentation
Knowledge of building materials and constructions
Knowledge of information technologies including specific applications
 
Occupational profile:Graduate occupational profile includes following:
Corporate environment (middle management, self-employed specialist), Civil Service and local or national self-governing bodies (officer in charge), planning engineering (manager assistant).
Graduation requirements:Min. 180 ECTS, state final exam, defence of the bachelor thesis.
Access to further studies:Successful graduates may proceed to master's study programme.
