Profile of the programme:The objective of the linked-up the study modulus „Quality of Plant Food Sources“ of the MSc-study field „Management of horticultural technologies” is to educate experts for the domain of horticultural production and post-harvest technologies with an extended knowledge of management and marketing of plant food resources. This study field corresponds with current problems and needs to produce top-quality and safe foodstuffs under conditions of sustainable development. This study modulus further extends and deepens the knowledge of food industry technologies and lays emphasis on total quality management, methods of quality evaluation, food law systems and understanding of environmental aspects of horticultural production.

Knowledge of quality parameters of plant food sources.
Knowledge of post-harvest technologies of plant food products.
Knowledge of food preservation.
Knowledge of chemical and sensory analysis of food.

Capability of independent professional, creative and scientific work.
 
Occupational profile:Graduates will find jobs in manufacturing enterprises, processing businesses, storage facilities, beverage industry, supermarkets chains, marketing organisations of food commodities, and control laboratories of governmental authorities.
Graduation requirements:Min. 120 ECTS, state final exam, defence of the master's thesis.
