Profile of the programme:Study of viticulture and enology program is focused on the education of graduates where find employment as specialists as vineyards agronomists, winemaking technologists, working in the wine trade and marketing, public employees. Graduates gain theoretical and practical knowledge of grapevine biology, technology of grapegrowing, ampelography, wine technology, chemistry, biochemistry and microbiology of wine. Furthermore, knowledge of economics and marketing. During the study obtain the practical ability to synthesize lessons learned and participate in management decisions. Based on these findings are able to access the innovative management of grapegrowing and winemaning companies, business of wine, wine marketing, development and implementation of new cultivation and processing technologies, marketing wine.
 
Key learning outcomes: Knowledge of technology of grapegrowing, then the particular biology of grapevines, modern agro-technical practices in grapegrowing and ampelography
Knowledge of technological processes in winemaking, wine chemistry and biochemistry and microbiology of wine
Ability to synthesize lessons learned and participate in management decisions
Ability to access the innovative management of grapegrowing and winemaning companies, business of wine, wine marketing, development and implementation of new cultivation and processing technologies, marketing wines or decisions in state institutions.
Competence for the leadership and management of sensory evaluation of wine and grapes.
Ability to perform core laboratory analysis for correct management of production quality.
 
Occupational profile:Graduates are able to access the innovative management of grapegrowing and winemaning companies, business of wine, wine marketing, development and implementation of new cultivation and processing technologies, marketing wines or decisions in state institutions.
Graduation requirements:Min. 180 ECTS, state final exam, defence of the bachelor thesis.
Access to further studies:Successful graduates may proceed to master's study programme.
