Profile of the programme:In general core competencies gained by completing a master's degree studies are considered skills associated with the use and processing of information, the ability to apply knowledge in practice, the ability to communicate with other experts in the field and ability of the organization and planning. The professional competencies are knowledge of material properties for applications in timber construction, knowledge of technological processes and workflows in the production of wooden structures, knowledge of production techniques and machinery, knowledge of the design elements of wood supporting structures, knowledge of the legal and normative environment for construction and knowledge of basic economic calculations and financial accounting.

Knowledge of wood-based materials and its applications in buildings
Knowledge of design of wooden elements and constructions
Knowledge of economic calculation and financial accounting
Orientation in the issue of the wooden parts reconstructions of buildings and structures
Analysis and solution of technical problems
 
Occupational profile:Graduates will acquire a sound understanding of various construction materials, technologies, construction, safety, operating procedures, ecology of the manufacturing process, organization and economics. Graduates may pursue career paths in small and middle-sized design agencies, construction companies, education, consultancy, service industry, or in the trade sector.
Graduation requirements:Min. 120 ECTS, state final exam, defence of the master's thesis.
Access to further studies:Successful graduates may proceed to doctoral study programme.
